It’s hard to find a place where edgy meets delicate detailing, but Asger Juel Larsen seems to live in that place. This season’s neon forest print in orange & green, transparent plastic and gold metallic croc are embellished with slender neck scarves, embroidery on the backs of jackets and black leather Doc Marten sandals.
The show took place semi-outdoors under a tent at Revolver Trade Show, which was perfect given that it fell on one of the only sunny days of this Danish “summer.”
The runway beauty look would have been as at home on Larsen’s catwalk as on that of Parisian Haute Couture; feminine and minimalist, with an emphasis on strong features like the cheekbones and brows. The look stood in contrast to the boxy fit of the clothes.
It was great to see Larsen’s work back on the runway this season. The combination of meticulous attention to detail and overall direction of the collection’s vibe made for a strong addition to the foundation on which the designer has already built.
