Listen to the Sounds of Scandinavia

Every place has its own sound. The swells of wind at the peak of a mountain or the indistinct chatter and footsteps on a busy street corner – sounds bring us back to a place in an immersive way. Now, you can experience Scandinavia through sound.

Swedish agency Brand of Radon and Hi-Fi company Technics have collaborated on an album, recently released on Spotify, to promote Technics SC-C70, a sound system that reproduces highly authentic sound. For the album, a team of sound technicians travelled around Scandinavia, capturing its unique essence in a number of recordings ranging from 30 seconds to nearly five minutes long. The tracks are occasionally accompanied by musical notes and speech.

The Scandinavian places you can listen to in the recordings are:

Reynisdrangar, Iceland

Länkipohja, Finland

Landsort, Sweden

Grønnegade, Copenhagen, Denmark

Rålambshovsparken, Stockholm, Sweden

Rosteds Gate, Oslo, Norway
