Minimalist Tattoos Artists You’ll Love

There’s lots of tattoo styles out there but, naturally, we’re drawn to the more minimalist of them. Lucky for us, it’s a style that’s currently in fashion and so we have lots of visual treats to choose from.

Don’t be fooled by the simple nature of these designs; they’re just as complicated to create as their more colourful and intricate counterparts.

Here are a few of our favourite tattoos and artists that have a monochrome vibe:

JonBoy

The New York-based tattoo artist is located at West 4 Tattoo and creates minimalist, soft tattoo designs that have become extremely popular lately. His writing is particularly ubiquitous – even if you’re not into tattoos, you’ve probably seen his designs.

Oliver Whiting

Working out of Black Dog in Norwich, Oliver creates intricate yet somehow still clean and minimalist designs using both hand-poke and machine methods. The monochrome palate and often abstract designs are rendered impeccably.

Stanislava Pinchuk (Miso)

Ukranian-born hand-poke tattoo artist Miso travels all over the world creating her incredible, delicate tattoos. Because of the personal nature of the art, she won’t accept money for her designs; instead she trades. Her work is also featured in the header image above.

Cate Webb

Though Webb mostly identifies as an oil painter, her hand-poke tattoos are getting her noticed as well. Black & white, simple lines and quirky designs characterize her style.

Okan Uckun

The clean line work on Uckun’s tattoos is inspiring; he’ll change the way you see tattoos. Based in New York with frequent worldwide trips (check his website for the latest dates), Uckun is also an artist who creates photo and video art exhibitions.
