The Best Late Night Dessert Spots in Copenhagen

For a city that boasts a lot of good food, Copenhagen comes up short when it comes to late night dessert. Don’t misunderstand; there are loads of dessert options during the day, but most of these places shut their doors sometime around 5 or 6 pm. For the most part, if you go to a restaurant that has a prix fixe menu, you’ll get dessert as well. Sometimes, however, that’s not the case and you’ll find yourself after-dark with a hankering for a sugary treat.

Here are the spots where you can satisfy your sweet tooth after you’ve left your evening meal:

List Marker: Number 1Bevi Bevi

An Italian wine bar that also has a delicious small-dishes menu, Bevi Bevi is the perfect spot for your nighttime indulgence. Although the menu changes occasionally, their desserts like panna cotta always hit the spot.

List Marker: Number 2Slice of San Fransisco

This small cafe near Frederiksholms Kanal is great for an easy lunch or dinner (try the burrito!) but their homemade cheesecake is really tops. They’re only open until 8 pm, though, so this is more for the earlybird crowd.

This French-meets-Nordic style restaurant serves a mean coq au vin, but they also provide fabulous desserts like chocolate mousse and homemade ice cream. The kitchen closes at 10 pm, but they serve dessert until 11 om, making it one of the only places in the city to get a proper dessert and coffee that late.
