Six Museums to Visit in Stockholm

From great bakeries to lust-worthy shops, Stockholm has it all. When you want a break from all those tiring fikas and trips to Södermalm, why not learn about Sweden’s naval history or catch up on the latest in photography exhibitions? There’s a little bit of culture for people of all interests, even if you just feel like humming “Dancing Queen” to yourself for a few hours.

These are the Stockholm museums you won’t want to miss for the best in history, culture and art:

This is the most visited museum in Sweden, so be prepared for occasional crowds. The museum focuses on a 17th Century warship that was excavated in the 1960s. Exhibitions include the ship itself, which is beautifully restored, to information about what the shipyard would have been like back in the 1600s and what life would have been like on the ship. A fascinating visit for history buffs, and very child-friendly.
