The Scandinavian Design List is a tribute to all the inspiring design work that is coming out of this region. In this new series, we put the spotlight on some of the most interesting latest releases. So what better time for the first edition than just after 3 Days of Design, Denmark’s annual design event for professionals and enthusiasts alike?

Therefore, the September edition of The Scandinavian Design List doubles as a roundup of some of the most exciting launches that we have seen during the festival. The selection is Denmark-heavy and covers a wide range from lighting via a kitchen solution to a turntable design from the 70s.

These are the best new design releases in September:

List Marker: Number 1Fritz Hansen – A sense of color

It’s safe to say that Danish furniture design company Fritz Hansen is a household name. Building on its heritage, Fritz Hansen is introducing 16 new colors for the iconic Series 7, Ant, and Grand Prix Arne Jacobsen designs.

The colors have been created in collaboration with Italian editor, design curator, and gallerist Carla Sozzani who is the mind behind noted boutique 10 Corso Como. In order to create a red thread that unites the collection and enables endless pairing options, all colors consist a splash of red. Scandinavian furniture is all about natural wood, black, and white? Think again!
