Party in a Post: Øyafestivalen Playlist 2019

Øyafestivalen, Oslo’s largest rock music festival, takes place from 6th – 10th August this year. Taking place at Tøyenparken in the city, Øyafestivalen (Øya Festival in English) focuses on popular music from around the world, including a great number of local acts.

The festival strives to be one of the greenest in the world; it runs with only renewable energy and all packaging is compostable. The festival serves 90% organic food, with 40% of their food offerings being meat-free. Similar to Roskilde Festival, Øyafestivalen is a music festival that takes pride in doing as little harm to the environment as possible while also giving people a helluva good time.

This year’s line-up at Øyafestivalen is strong, with Robyn, Christine and the Queens, Blood Orange, Erykah Badu, and Tame Impala headlining. Well known Norwegian artists that will be performing include Karpe, Hellbillies, and Razika.
