Six Things to Do at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen 2016

While there are plenty of classic “design fairs” that take place around the world (including the lovely northmodern in Copenhagen!), 3 Days of Design aims to do something different. Over three days (26 – 28 May), design studios open up their showrooms, hold events, talks and exhibitions, and collaborate with designers, artists and media to create a new way of introducing the public to design.

It’s a highly immersive, tactile and aesthetic way to experience the many brands, functions and people that make up the design world here in Copenhagen (and around Denmark). Tickets are free; all you have to do is sign up here.

There’s an extensive, exciting program. Here are our picks for the best events at 3 Days of Design:

List Marker: Number 3Muuto 10 Year Anniversary

Muuto’s rooftop terrace has to be one of the best spots in the city. You get a full view of Copenhagen in a gorgeous, chic setting. It would be worth going for that reason alone, but you’ll also get a chance to learn about ten years of innovative and stylish design in their light-filled showroom.

11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Muuto Showroom
Østergade 36-38
1100 København K

List Marker: Number 4ferm LIVING Pop-Up Shop

ferm LIVING’s first storefront is everything you hoped it would be and more. Housed inside of a disused transformer station in the centre of the city, the shop is beautifully curated and styled. There are events each day; delicious goodies from bakery-mavens Sweet Sneak on the 26th, a night bar from Rødder & Vin on the 27th and Leckerberg pastry shop on the 28th. In addition, Bremerholm Blomster have a huge plant shop in the courtyard, so you can truly go nuts with the interior decor/garden shopping.

26th – 28th May
