The Scandinavia Standard Editorial Team plans, sources, drafts, and reviews stories about Nordic design, travel, wellbeing, and daily culture. Articles under this byline are collective work under the publishers' standards.
Editorial standards
- Every published piece is reviewed and approved by a member of our team before it goes live. AI tools are a substantial part of how we produce Scandinavia Standard: they help find and organise sources, draft, edit, check facts and links, and audit published work, and they may produce much of an initial draft. Where an editor is named on an article, that is the person who reviewed it. Important factual claims are supportable and important sources are linked. We say that we interviewed, contacted or investigated something only when we did.
- Quotations are attributed. Images carry credits where available.
- We correct confirmed errors promptly. Material corrections carry a dated note explaining what changed. Articles whose central premise cannot stand are withdrawn, with a notice left at the original address where appropriate.
- We follow established journalistic practice for sensitive topics: medical, financial, and mental-health content is published with appropriate disclaimers and links to qualified professional advice.
- Where an article contains an affiliate link or recommends a product or service connected to Brown Brothers Media, its founders, its staff or their families, that relationship is disclosed in the article near the recommendation.
