ARKET launches its exclusive Garden flora collection, inspired by the green island of Djurgården in Stockholm. The collection features billowing silhouettes with floral motifs based on the tulips, peonies, and hoary stock that grow in its gardens, interspersed with structured details and earth tones that take inspiration from the organic spaces in between.
Featuring plenty of the elevated staples ARKET has come to be known for, like organic cotton and timeless silhouettes made to last, this collection continues in ARKET’s commitment to high-quality and recycled materials, manufactured with transparency.
This seasonal collection is one you can wear spring after spring, so you can feel as great as you look.
Djurgården, from which this collection takes its inspiration, is a tranquil island full of natural landscapes, meadows, and gardens which erupt into bloom every spring. The lightness and bursts of color within the Garden flora collection mimics the gardens of Djurgården in the springtime, as it envelops you in grassy greens and flashes of bright florals.
Combined with a watercolor print that appears in flux, as if the painter’s brush has just animated the paint with a bead of water, the collection itself is imbued with the organic energy it’s so inspired by.
Balloon sleeves and wide hems evoke retro gardening, as smock-like dresses and scooped necks look lifted from a gardening cooperative from the 70s. Fluted hems give shirt dresses ease of movement and feminine sundresses can be styled with structured tailoring for the perfect transeasonal outfit.
Take a look at our favorite transitional pieces from ARKET’s spring Garden flora collection:
This dress is elegant yet easy to wear, with a timeless A-line silhouette and wide sleeves, made in an easy-to-care satin.
Mid-length, buttondown, and in a luscious green print. Floral enough for spring and summer, but with an edge that makes it ideal styled with a trench coat and ankle boot in the fall and winter too.
The kind of shirt dress we can get behind: one with pockets. Perfect for keeping gardening shears or trowels in. We particularly love the Day-Glo effect of the floral print on black.
A true retro classic. This dress reminds us of sepia photos of our mother gardening in her 20s. Evocative details like balloon sleeves, a wide hem, and a gathered waist are modernized with a textured satin fabric that’s lightweight and silky smooth.
