Every season, Stockholm Fashion Week reminds us why we love Scandinavian fashion in the first place. The mix of clean minimalism and flowing whimsy is a combination that few but the Swedes could pull off so well. We’re always on the lookout for not only a new exciting collection from a beloved design house, but also emerging designers that will knock our socks off.
These are the designers getting us excited for the spring/summer 2017 season:
A brand that very seldom misses the mark, Rodebjer is one of our favorite Swedish fashion brands. With a loose fit and a love of color and pattern, these dresses and separates are in the coveted “throw it on and look great no matter what” category. Very Swedish, very good.
Simple, stark cuts and an occasional pop of wild color; Greta Gram may be relatively new on the scene but she already looks classic.
Nhorm is also new to Stockholm Fashion Week but we’re already digging the zero-fucks-given attitude of their clothes. It’s all about materials used in unexpected ways (a cargo dress!), odd silhouettes and muted colors.
We saw STAND for the first time last year; their structured leather pieces showcase classic cuts in new textures.
Practically textbook Scandi-style, Stylein is all about monochrome, clean lines and very luxe materials.
Color, texture, print and cut; Ida Klamborn isn’t afraid to mess with what’s traditional in order to create a new and outlandish look. We love her focus on strong women and her regular “Girl Talk” feature where she shares interviews with collaborators and muses.
