What Just Happened: Northside Festival 2016

How does one compete with Roskilde Festival’sOrange Feeling?” Is is even possible? Not really, but Roskilde’s younger cousin Northside Festival is really giving it a run for its money. Maybe it was the hyggligt atmosphere, urine-dust-free site and endorphins after the two-day bikeride to Aarhus? Or maybe it was simply this year’s stellar lineup. Iggy Pop, Beach House, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Beck, Beach House, Flume, Jamie xx, Caribou. All one after the other. It was almost too good to be true. It was like the organisers had checked out my last.fm (yes, I know) and constructed a festival lineup just for me. Apart from the disappointing lack of female artists, the festival was amongst the best three days in my life. Oh music, sweet music!

Take a photo-tour of the festival highlights:

If you’re feeling brave and you like biking, plan your own cycle trip to Northside next year!
