Odense, Denmark’s third largest city, is located on the centre of Funen. If you happen to find yourself there and in the mood for some fairy-tale whimsy, spots like Hans Christian Andersen’s childhood home are the place for you.
If, however, you’d rather dance, drink and generally enjoy yourself over some killer music, Tinderbox Festival might be more up your alley.
This is only its first year but the festival has already secured an incredible line-up, with beloved international acts like Robbie Williams as well as Danish performers like MØ and Ramsus Walter.
There’s no camping (not even glamping!) near their Tusindårsskoven location, so you’ll have to find accommodation in the city, which is relatively inexpensive.
